Everyone around me noticed that I was much happier, and light-hearted. I was excited to go to work. I started out in education, but after a couple of years, I realized it wasn’t for me. I then moved back to my family business and became the manager. Before I did Danny’s course, I wasn’t sure whether I would learn anything new or if it really the path I wanted to be taking. The course wowed me. Before I felt uncertain and unconfident about my online marketing skills. Now, I have the confidence and the experience. Danny isn’t a regular teacher. If you had told me 6 months ago that I would have found a job doing something I’m so passionate about so quickly, I would never have believed it. I was doing medical billing, I had great managers, supervisors, and friends. But I was feeling stuck, like I was burnt out. I didn’t want to look back in 10 years and regret my choices. I knew nothing about digital marketing, but I like to challenge myself and wanted a job that was fast-paced and stimulating in an industry that was not flooded. When I started the course, I realized how exciting and interesting the field is – especially SEO! You can make a real difference to a business. Everyone thought I was crazy when I quit my job during the course without having a guaranteed job lined up. Right after ODEO, I got offered a job doing SEO for a company. If you had told me 6 months ago that I would have found a job doing something I’m so passionate about so quickly, I would never have believed it.

Now, I’ve opened up my own agency doing SEO and digital marketing for other companies. I have a background in teaching accounting. I was also helping my husband with his online businesses, but finding reliable digital marketers was always a challenge. I wanted something more practical and joined ODEO. ODEO is extremely practical and hands-on. You have weekly challenges and homework. The work is graded and commented on. Now, I’ve opened up my own agency doing SEO and digital agency for other companies. I hope to have much more free time in the future now that I’m my own boss.

After ODEO, I realized I didn’t need to be bored at work. Now I work in an Amazon business, love it and I earn double my salary! I was working in medical billing but was bored and so drained. I wasn’t sure what field I wanted to go into. I had so many strengths I wasn’t using. ODEO looked interesting, although I had zero knowledge of anything. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be too high of a level as I had no experience. I applied to an Amazon business, I told them during my interview that I took the ODEO course and she right away was extremely interested as she had worked with Danny in the past. I ended up taking the job and doubling my salary!!

I’ve been to a lot is SearchHOU meetups but by far this one was really good. Danny Gavin actually made a very thorough PowerPoint presentation, had his tricks of the trade all listed, and he had his golden nuggets of experience within the presentation. I was impressed with the overall presentation. There were many points that were listed that I myself need to go back and check on within my own analytics.
